December 15 photos for our SF triphttp://outdoors.webshots.com/album/556429188ImFETt and http://family.webshots.com/album/103725416fLvjzc December 13 Back from San FranciscoHi, I'm back. The San Francisco trip was great! I am going to write about the trip later. I have the photos, all developed (4 rolls). But I need time to transfer the DC photos (almost all were taken by Aiyun) and scan the prints. It will need some time, trust me, I am busy. Ok, before that, I still have something to treat your eyes. I finished one roll of B/W film just before my trip to SF. I developed it yesterday and scanned them. You can see the photos in the photo album called "First Snow in Winter 2006". If you prefer, visit my webshots album, you're find slightly larger photos. (FYI: I will not upload full size photos from now on. ) Enjoy and have a nice holiday! December 01 Babel [Film]Babel [Film] I am glad that I didn't miss the last screening, but any comment I would make on this movie might be politically incorrect. So, let me be brief. This film is not made to provoke emotions. It is a sad story (or a collection of sad stories), but it does not intend to make the viewers cry. Rather, it forces us to ask a simple question: "Why?" This is the question that most people are reluctant to ask in the post 9-11 era, let alone answering it. An innocent child was killed, his brother and father possibly imprisoned; an innocent old man was tortured, his friend's family disturbed; a Mexican woman was permanently deported, her nephew disappeared; and yet, the news report said it was a happy ending for the American female who's being accidently shot was fully recovered. What an irony! I could only hope that these incident would help some-ones to get rid of their arrogance and self-centeredness. Let us keep some decency and some humanity. |
